Perth and Kinross council backdown to the Scottish Excecutive

Perth and Kinross council have been forced to climb down from their empire building strategy currently in development. The Scottish Executive who have recently recognised the failings of the council to consider the environment as an important part of the tourism industry, realised a few years ago it needed saving from council officials who show scant regard for this subject matter.

Scottish Power have at last been given the go ahead to erect wind farms in Perthshire. Plans are afoot to locate the wind farms directly next to Gleneagles in a move to make the game more interesting for spectators and the television viewing public.

Opponents objecting to the plans voiced concerns over the project describing the wind farm as turning Perthshire into an “industrial wasteland” rather than the title “wasteland” that it currently can be described as.

Green Party MSP Mark Ruskell said, “Perth and Kinross councillors have confirmed their reputation for burying their heads in the sand and wishing that wind farms and climate change were not a reality.”

This however is nothing to worry about we feel, as Perth and Kinross council follow these guidelines for all policies in the Perthshire area so as long as the Scottish Executive are around to run the county its best just to dismiss everything the council say.

When approached by Business Perthshire a sheep in the affected field commented “blah, blah, blah!”

A spokesperson for the council has also commented "We have to at last admit this will take the wind out of our sails but we already have robust policies for making these monstrosities less obvious. We are good at covering up and hiding the truth!"
