Scottish Enterprise enlist the help of Paul McKenna to help flagging tourism!
Scottish Enterprise are paying £16,000 to Paul McKenna for a three hour motivational class to 'help visitor attraction and hotel staff improve their development skills'.
Tourism leaders reckon this will help Scotland's tourism businesses deliver more "inspirational" customer service.
Well it will certainly help boost Mr McKenna's bank balance!!
Pardon us for stating the obvious, but if people are not motivated enough to provide a pleasurable experience for visitors, what the hell are they doing in the tourism business?
Give your customer value for money and make their stay an enjoyable one and they will want to come back. You shouldn't need a bloody hypnotist to program you to do that! Not unless you want to run your place like Fawlty Towers.
£16,000 is more than most people in the tourism industry earn in a year and Mr McKenna gets that for just 3 hours work.
Well he's certainly got someone under his spell to have made them cough up such a huge sum of money for so little.
While he's at it he should hypnotise some of these tourism leaders into resigning so that we can get some people in there that actually know what they are talking about.
I don't need no hypnotist!
