G8 Summit fiasco
The G8 was such a disaster for Perthshire and such a massive waste of taxpayers money that the council are now sending a delegation of councillors to New York next year to try and salvage something from it. They obvioulsy think it's a good idea to waste even more taxpayers money for a massive jolly for some of their team.
The Perthshire Advertiser quotes more crap from Bernadette Malone from Perth & Kinross council
Referring to the G8 - taken from the Perthshire Advertiser July 19th 2005
“I am absolutely delighted with the policing style and approach, with the public of Auchterarder whom we knew would be welcoming and friendly, and all the council staff who deserve our praise and thanks,” Ms Malone told the press briefing.
She also pointed out that the council had “maximised opportunities to promote the area.
REALLY!! Give examples.
“The perthshireG8.com website, she said, had received three million hits during the week and 3500 Perthshire magazines had been distributed.
What happened to the other 6500 Ms Malone? More waste of taxpayers money for this piece of garbage produced by companies outside of the Perthshire area?
“The Scottish Executive is conducting an economic impact study for the whole of Scotland.
“When that is finalised, we will have a better idea on the benefits to this area.
“I hope we have been able to show the world what Perthshire has to offer and that people will want to come here.”
You had a world stage and you put on a performance worthy of amateur dramatic status!!

Clearly you don't worry at all as you have no conscience.

Your council support local businesses by........... always awarding major contracts to companies outside the area! Can you explain how that benefits local business?
Well Ms Malone drawing you big fat salary from tax payers money - what deluded little world do you live? The Perthshire you spout about is not the real one that the local people have to live and work in.
