Not such a good showcase for Perthshire. Wonderful causes. Corruption starts at the top in our fascist policed state. We all need to wake up here Perth to the real world outside. Prepare for all the bullshit from Perth & Kinross Council proclaiming the G8 to be a major success for Perthshire. Your pathetic attempts to promote the area were completely over shadowed by the terrible atrocities in London. The world will associate the G8 in Scotland with terrorism. Perth Council, Scotland: nil points.

Media positioned outside peoples houses in Auchterarder. This was an obvious flashpoint as any local resident could have told you and from my experience with demonstrations in London, one that the police would make sure brought negative attention to all those involved.

Meanwhile the flashpoint was being fanned by our the police force allowing demonstrators to head straight for the G8 summit. Media representatives looking for news included a Perthshire Chamber of Commerce member Iain Johnston of Wedding Video Services and Johnston Media Crieff.
Hicksville or what?
Businesses in Auchterarder which shut included the following - Miller Hendry Auchterarder, Bear Necessities Auchterarder, Ortega (Muffin Man) Auchterarder - this guy was on TV saying it may bring him business so why shut for the day?! Mona Liza Auchterader was also suspiciously shut for refurbishment - conveniently removing all the expensive designer clothing from her displays.
