The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
The Good
It is good that through my column, I can take this opportunity to inform every single reader, that this magazine and our graphic design business has no connection whatsoever with the www.businessperthshire.com website or www.perthshirebusiness.com which the owner has defaulted to the Rolf Harris website. So no 'bottle' there then?
If you visit the 'businessperthshire' website you will witness a very sad display of self indulgent, self opinionated childish nonsense. And disparaging, and relating to, decent upstanding business clients who write for and have been featured in this very magazine.
There may be a reasonable issue for discussion here, but not in this unprofessional manner.
In a democracy of course, we are all free to air our own opinions, and in business we are all free to alienate our potential clients... if we are that stupid.... obviously some people are!
The Bad
Bad is not a strong enough word to explain the actions and comments from some individuals who are acting like 'spoiled brats', because they failed to get a job. Perhaps their work was not up to the standard required?...... Now there's a ground breaking revelation!!
It is also pathetic to claim to represent the graphic designers of Perthshire.... what a load of twaddle.
The Ugly
It is an ugly site witnessing a business hell bent on self-destruction but hey, it's their choice to commit commercial suicide. After all, who would want to commission people who act in such an unprofessional manner? I find their actions and comments both ugly and offensive, to me as a designer, and for my clients mentioned and inferred on this site.
And, I also notice that my own company name is listed on the site so it's only fair that I thank Sundial Creative for mentioning us. As a typical graphic designer, I do not like getting my hands dirty in the garden but even I know that solar clocks don't work that well in Scotland.... must be the weather?
