Perthshire Chamber of Commerce Website

Early in 2005, several local companies were asked to tender for the job of building the new Perthshire Chamber website - remember their last one truly was atrocious!

The board meeting to decide who had been awarded the contract we were informed, was scheduled week commencing 23rd March 2005.

Funny then that their brand new website was up on their own server space the week prior to that meeting.

Does this indicate once again the underhanded dealing and favouritism shown towards a small group of companies and individuals who seek to line their own pockets?

Just prior to this website going up, the company who were lined up to host this site - Straitway Ltd, stated clearly that the company that actually won the contract would never get it because in their opinion they were technically incapable of working to Straitways specifications.

Since the site has been up the stats have been open for all to see - not only giving away their little game but also showing how their website is underperforming. Take away the administrator hits and it shows very few people actually visit the site - no surprises there then!!
