Here we have the local Perthshire Advertiser head office tucked away in a quiet back street in Perth. The PA likes to tell everyone how they promote Perthshire - well lets take a closer look in the window and see whats on display to visitors shall we.

Seems like the Toy Town News got it wrong again, they should have checked their facts before they published. This is the newspaper that only publishes 2 editions a week and has been guilty recently of making up the letters that appear in it - can't they find enough news to fill it anymore? Who cares - who reads it anyway and who pays for it at 70 pence when 50% is just pointless advertising.
Following a complaint to the Press Complaints Commission, which was upheld, the Hicksville Rag has published a denial!
The following was published by them on Friday 11th August. We never realised that John Lewis had a store in Auchterarder.
Poor Mr Wishart, and his friends at the PA and Chamber - your evil little collusion backfired.
So exactly what does PA stand for?

No. In fact it means Public Apology.
Never minds chaps, maybe one day some of you might get to work for a real newspaper and see what really does go on out there in the big wide world. Of course the Press and Journal being a professional newspaper realised the error of their ways very quickly and were happy to publish a retraction early in July.

We have been informed that the gulity parties responsible for the publishing of the article on May 30th inlude Peter Wishart MSP, The Perthshire Chamber of Commerce and The Perthshire Advertiser who ran a similar article with the exact same factually incorrect information. The lady in question we assume now accepts this apology. We would also hope that all the aforementioned will also apologise in due course.
